A 27-year-old Google engineer has been accused of murder in California.
It is being told that he allegedly killed his wife Xuanyi Yu. Who was also a Google technical expert.
Liren Chen was found "covered in blood" at his home, according to a statement from the district attorney's office in Santa Clara County.
He is currently in the hospital and has not been produced in the court yet.
Chen and his wife Xuanyi Yu were employees at Google. Police said that an acquaintance of Chen's had called 911 on January 16 and informed them about the couple.
When the police reached Chen's house, Chen's condition in the room was very bad.
According to Liren Chen's LinkedIn profile, he has been working with Google as a software engineer since March 2020. He is also working on an algorithm for YouTube shorts recommendation.
According to their profiles, Liren Chen and Xuanyi Yu are both alumni of Beijing University.
